Hospice care is not just for those who are housebound or bed-ridden. Many patients who receive care are living out their daily lives, which hospice helps them do. Wherever the patient lives, hospice care can be given, whether it’s in their homes, hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living or retirement communities. Hospice patients are people of any age who have a terminal illness and a diagnosis of fewer than six months left to live.
